Transforming 12 Acres into a Modern DPW Facility
The project called for redevelopment of 12.1 acres of land. To do so the site needed demolition of existing buildings, creating an underground storm detention system and providing new green space. The site includes a new sewer and water mains and heavy-duty asphalt to facilitate truck traffic.
The main building feature constructs a new 21,000 sf DPW facility utilizing a new pre-engineered metal building to house Washington County and the Town of Fort Ann. The main building interiors included office space, locker rooms, breakroom, sign shop, mechanic bays welding areas and a storage mezzanine.
This project also included a new 2,500 Precast concrete salt structure with a fabric dome for the County’s use.
