Structural rehabilitation of an existing 5 story parking garage for Albany County, including temporary shoring, significant structural steel repairs, spall repair, blasting and coating, CMU replacement, tuckpointing, EIFS installation, door replacement, electrical upgrades, traffic deck membrane installation, replacement of over 2000LF of 6″-10″ cast iron roof drains, and replacement of all perimeter fall protection fencing. Unit price project with a 20% contingency allowance for the significant amount of “unknown conditions,” that arose after excavating to expose pile caps, blasting to expose true steel conditions, and pipe testing to determine full limits of replacement required. Project was completed and open for parking (1) year ahead of schedule.
