Improvements to Wastewater Treatment Plant – Effluent Disinfection by installing a new 680 sf Masonry control building that housed two Trojan UV systems

Self-performed excavation, piping, and concrete for a brand new UV building at an existing wastewater treatment plant. Installed 16″ gravity fed PVC pipe at existing disk filter effluent building and routed to new UV building, then routed 16″ effluent out of new UV building to outfall. Building consisted of over 100CY of self-performed cast-in-place concrete work, including footer, frost wall, and custom cast-in-place U-channel which housed the Trojan UV system bulbs. Building above grade consisted of CMU with a precast concrete deck with a poured-in place topping slab. Misc. architectural work including roofing system, painting of CMU, coating of the effluent channel, installation of doors and misc. metal grating, handrails and stairs.
